Artist Painter

André Nadal

André Nadal is a French painter born in Oran in 1952, who grew up in the south of France. Trained in industrial design, he then turned to the visual arts and, in the 1980s, chose to devote himself entirely to painting.

His work, with its striking formal rigour, is part of an aesthetic exploration of rhythm, light and visual illusion. Influenced by optical art, he constructs geometric and mental universes made up of lines, tensions and subtle superimpositions.

André Nadal paints exclusively in oil, which, with its depth and flexibility, allows him to create intense blacks, delicate plays of light and an almost mineral vibration on the surface.

His works captivate not only with their precision but also with their emotional density.

Between abstraction, structure and meditation, his painting invites us to come face to face with the invisible.
